Dark Green Inner Stem? Is it OK to Eat?

At this point, I have picked 1 mushy with tweezers. After picking it, I noticed that the inside of the stalk is a dark, green color. It can be bluing, but it is a very dark, green. I don't know if that is normal, to be dark, green? Keep in mind, I did not pick it from the base, I had to squeeze it while twisting it until it ripped apart (It was picked at the half point of the stalk).

It did dry correctly, but is it still edible (eatable) with the inner-stalk that dark, green color? I don't have any pics right now to help me explain.

What is the best way to pick them from the casing without getting me

In my book, green=bad. It's not worth the risk...

YESSUH :crazy2: I can't wait to see those colors again, soon.

If you have a contam you will know it. Does it smell bad? or like a mushroom?

There is a test, if you like, you can dab a q tip in h2o2 and wipe it on the green area. If the q-tip comes away green or discolored, it's contam.
If the q-tip remains white yer good :mushroom2:
