 almost got mugged!

alright so i'm drunk as shit coming home from a concert tonight, i called my dealer on the way home. so i go to the atm right below where i live and withdrawl %60 as i'm walking away this dude grabs me and say "give it to me"! i on;y had $60 on me but i'm not rich so $60 is worth fighting for to me. so i started acting all crazy talking in a psycho voice say "oh you want it huh? you gonna make it hurt ect? then he swung at me and ran away. imitidation is key. i think i scared him how ceazy i was acting

normally i'd agree with you and i agree the best thing to do in that kind of situation is stfu and give them what they want but it's diffrent when it happens. i was so pissed that someone would try to mug me (i live in a nice part of town and pay $840 a month for a p.o.s. apartment so i don't have to deal with that shit) that i stood my ground. dude was no older than 27 and in shape but i would have destroyed him, knife or not, if he tried anything i was so enraged. hell even if he had a gun he wouldn't have forgotten me. the bitch punched me in the nose and ran like forest though

No i understand the motive behind it. Last summer my truck was stolen from work. So that morning, i work graveyard, i went out just driving around looking for it. I actually pass my fucking truck with the people driving in it. So i flip a bitch and rode their ass till they pulled over, in retrospect that might not have been the best thing to do. Granted i had a cell phone which i was talking to the cops on as soon as i saw my truck. And a .357 sitting next to me, but gun or no gun if i get shot i get shot. So i understand, but if it happened to me again i probably would have done things differently.

No he was white with blonde hair, a clean cut face, and was wearing a decent hoody. i was surprised because there are addicts and homeless around that i'd think might try and jack you but this guy looked like neither.

nah man this guy was for real. there's not a lot of students around where i live and this guy defentaly wasn't a student anyway. another thing i didn't mention is while this was happening there was 4 people (2 of which i know were guys, i didn't look at the other two) where about 3 meters away and didn't say a word. afterward i walked by them and was like "damn, that guy just tried to rob me" they seemed to look away when i was looking at them, not wanting to get involved or something ? eh, not very friendly

yea, i dunno about dying for it. it would suck to die over $60. i'll put up a hell of a fight over it tho. after looking back, i think i made the best decision. i kept my money, didn't have to fight, didn't get hurt (a sore nose is nothing) and am pretty stoned right now which i wouldn't have been if i got robbed. it also makes me feel better to know in a situation like that i would actually stand up for myself. it's easy to say "i would do so and so to him" but it's different when it happens. if you asked me what i thought i would do in a situation like that last week, my anwser would have been give him the money and not risk him having a weapon, but that's not what happened. i had no time whatsoever to think anything out, it was pure instinct.

In my experience if you stand up to a mugger they usually back down and find someone weaker/smaller to rob.
If the person has a gun or a knife they will usually pull it out first thing, and point it at you. This is a good time to hand over your valuables. Until that point though I would just say "fuck you" and start beating on him. If you get him good enough keep kicking him while he's down and be like, "gimme YOUR money bitch"!

nah i'm not big. i'm 6' 160lbs, i'm in good shape though. alcohol probably helped yeah, good thing i was drunk! i was kinda stumbly tho so it might not have been good if i actually had to fight.
i wouldn't start beating on him unless he's attacking me or was about too. i don't like fighting but i find myself in fights far too often. the only time i've ever swung first is at this guy who threw a rock at my car and hit me in the face. i pulled over and busted his shit, he called the cops on me and i got arrested too! they dropped the charges tho. other than that i've always tried to reason my way out of fighting.

awhile ago this guy i knew/did dope with called me up and told me to meet him someplace, and thinking he was being clever and i wuoldnt know who he was he came at me with a hoodie on and grabbed me and pushed me against my car. I only had $7 but all he did was keep saying "give it to me" to which i kept responding "no". He didnt try to use any physical force on me, even though he was alot bigger than me, and after asking for the money about 10 times he finally gave up and left. haha
