The general must convince the soldiers there is a war Because if they didn't believe it What on Earth would they be fighting for

That is absolutely absurd. If you knew anything about inner city schools and the conditions there, you wouldn't thing this.

What do you think a soldier learns by going to college? If they really studied they would find that their time in the service helped a lot of rich evil guys get more rich. Education should come before the army.

They join the army to be able to afford education. It's not cheap, you know?

I do know of conditions at inner city schools. I live very close so some very bad schools. But, someone who really trys can still get scholarships. With the new "no child left behind" (which i hate) any student who is at a school below state standards can request and be moved to a better school and the state must comply. Most kids consider their social life more important than school(im no exception). I just finished high school a few weeks ago and I promise that anyone who is willing to put the time in can get straight As.

They can request to go to another school, but transportation is not provided for them. If their parents work all day, how will they get to these better schools?
Also, gpa is being de-emphasized in exchange for standardized testing, which many inner-city schools are worthless at.

so thats it then? You ignore everything I say and spout nonsensical one-liners at me?
This isn't an opinion based on facts that you've looked at and decided upon. You haven't seen both sides of this and come to a logical, unbiased conclusion. You want to hate the military because that's what's cool. War is uncool right now, so every kid who watches MTV now thinks they know whats going on and that the war in iraq is like, wrong, and stuff, man.
I probably shouldn't waste my energy, though. An opinion like this cannot be changed with a sound argument. You'll lose interest in being blindly anti-military eventually, and then you'll decide the military, like everything else, has it's share of both good and bad people in it. And you'll feel very dumb for posting what you have here.

I watch MTV, but it doesn't tell me what to believe about the war in Iraq - we have the smartest guy in the world, Noam Chomsky, to tell us about that. I don't know one serious person who bases their ideas from mainstream television, especially MTV.
You act like you won't get into your opinions because we wouldn't be able to understand it, but I insist it is because you don't have any worth hearing. Don't tell us what you're going to do, just do it.

Noam Chomsky is a fucktard.
Seriously, I trust his word just as much as I trust Michael Moore's. Pretty much, Chomsky is Moore, but with a better vocabulary.

Pardon me for not wanting to accept garbage from an extremist. Far left-wingers are no better than far right-wingers. I like my news shaken, not spun.

It's pretty easy to take anything and make it seem something that it's not. You can take any situation and turn it into a conspiracy with a few twists and turns.

Honestly. The only people really involved in politics are the people who have a reason to. The people work so hard to know both candidates, bless their hearts, but it's all rigged by industry. War is what happens when the USA views another country as a threat or an opportunity for our advancement, and the army is the instrument of that fever.
I don't participate in politics. But if I did, I would say that your argument about this being left or right wing is just uninformed, because the people who decide things for our country are on the same team.
