Strain Advice (im not asking for a superstrain :)

I have just finished my first growing experiance with a "kit" and feel that I have learned enough to start doing it the respectable way So I am trying to decide what strains to use on my first "from scratch" excapade. Now before you get pissed because every NEWB asks "which one is the best", understand I would simply like everyone to tell me what they have had good experiances with. I am planning on doing pint jars into a casing. My sub will most likely be a mix of cake and compost from a local mushroom farm in SE Wisconsin (shrooms kitchen, that place rules). I am doing the standard casing on substrate on perlite. If anyone would like to give there thoughts on what a suitable strain for a beginner like me would be, it would be greatly appreciated. I live in the midwest if anyone thinks that matters.

the South American.
fast colonizing, fast fruiting, large fruits, large yeilds, good buzz too.
more people should try the S.A.'s...
especially newbies...rather than B+'s that take longer to fruit.

^ I wasnt too impressed with my b+ even before it mutated. Def dont get b+, The stems are hallow as hell, a shroom (stem) the diameter of a permenant marker will shrink down to smaller than a pen once dried. Well, at least in my experience.
Im getting south americans soon (once i get paiiiiiid). If you get it too, lemme know how your grow goes, and ill let you know how mine goes.

I'm not impressed with B+'s.
alot of people tell newbies to get B+
f#ck that...not me!~
half the polls I have seen in the shroomery people are suggesting B+ to newbies.
I have had terrible grows with the B+ strain...more so than any other strain.
maybee this strain is my achilles heal or some sh#t!~
*shrugs*

i had a plentiful harves with Treasure Coast. But the stems are hollow also, and don't dry up into anything!! Right now i am doing Koh Samui Thailand "Super Strain". I like the large fruits,a nd thick meaty stems....Especially when you case them. I actually am on a 5th Flush of the "ss". I've learned to keep the contam dormant between flushes with salt, and h2o2/water sprayed. (kills cobweb too). But i have no pics of the "ss". but here is one of the T.C.

just salt... then mist with hydrogen peroxide water out of a spray bottle.
* i like to spray one mist of 70%alc/water first, before i do the h2o2 water for saturation purposes

hell...if you do it right u don't have to stop eating at the stem. i have some cakes that are pure brown rice and even those are getting tea'd up when they're done. by the way, i'll always recomend pink buffaloes to a newb.

I am currently in my first venture which will be with double tubs. I am colonizing jars with Golden Teacher, Pink Buffalo, and Treasure Coast. Though treasure coast had the thickest spore solution (lots of wispy stuff) it has performed the worst. Pink buffalo is excelling. We'll see how my spawn run and casing go. Is it alright to use filter disks intead of polyfill in the holes on my double tub?
