bulb-like shroom

i did a search and read that "fattyness" of a stem isn't really a concern.... but with one (and a couple of other mushrooms) it literally looks like a ping pong ball with a 1/2 inch diameter cap sitting on top, with the veil a little bit torn on one side.
Is this ready to be picked or should I wait until the shroom thins out?

Well, I understand it is already picked, but I think you did the right thing. The shroom would never really thin out. If the viel was break, then, that was a good indicator that the shroom was ready to be picked.
