Panaeolus Subbalteatus Perhaps

Well, on my way to work yesterday I noticed about 5 mushrooms on someones lawn. Lately I have been keeping my eyes peeled for anything that looked remotely like Pan. Subb's, when I saw these I thought it was a long shot but decided to gather one to take a sporeprint. The print is definetly "Jet Black". The mushrooms look similar to this:
http://www.mushroomjohn.com/species/pnsubbalteatus1.jpg
but the stems were very thin, perhaps 2mm.. and they were a brown with some sligtly lighter parts. The caps did look similar to this, but on some of the mushrooms the rings that are supposed to be there don't seem to be. They were growing on freshly laid saud.. I am going to collect more today. There were probably around 30 of them now, spread out along the lawn more. Sorry for no photo. The mushrooms do not seem to bruise and my allergies are very bad, i could not tell you what it smelt like haha.
IF YOU ARE GOING TO POST, REMEMBER THAT THE PHOTO I LINKED TO IS NOT A PHOTO OF WHAT I FOUND.

I've been hearing that Pan Subbs on lawns have a thinner stem because of different nutrients or something. i don't know. If you could get a picture or your exact mushroom, that'd be great. There is a chance that they are Pan Subbs though. The black spore print and well...the fact that they look like the subbs.

In the future Psilovibe, dont use pics of shrooms from the internet. A point of having a piture is to see if you didnt mistake it for a similar species. Whatever you have, it looks inactive.

hmm, well I just used that picture so that I could compare them to those pan. subbs., I shall keep what you have said in mind though. I went back to the lawn today and gathered about 10 larger fruits. The stems on the larger fruits were almost identical to the stems of those in that photograph. One larger mushroom that I pulled had a smaller one growing along with it, it's cap was darker and had what looks to be rings. Could also be dropped spores though, I haven't checked too closely yet.

I'm going to say that they are probably Pan Subbs, but i'm no professional.
Lawn subbs do exist, they are ridiculously common in my area(Southeast michigan, usually found in well groomed lawns)

I think he took the prints wrong or is lying, cause the rest doesn't fit the description of a subb. Wait till someone with more experience ID's it for you.

The description fits the ones my friends and I have been eating. That must be one strong group placebo effect then. Regardless, I'm going to keep eating them even if it is only for placebo trips.

I have no reason to lie good sir. I am simply trying to get an ID. What would one gain from lying about something like this.

I don't think so. Base bruising maybe, but not blue color. I've found that the pan subbs prodominant in sprawling horse fields have thinner stems.. hollow, that are brown. It's very rare to find a thick stemmed subb IMO.
