hey guys. was going to post this in the "Other Drug Discussion" board, but I cant access it. Hope it is ok to post my question here.
I was studying last night and at about 9:00 a friend offered me some Adderall as he was walking down my dorm corridor. Usually I am very cautious about trying new drugs, but he was giving them away like candy so I figured it musn't have been anything special. He claimed it helped you concentrate better on studying, but was otherwise pretty weak. So, stupidly I took a pill and swallowed it. I did focus well on my study, and got some good work done. Then I decided I would rather focus on socialising, and before I knew it I was chattering away with the other guys who were eating it like it was going out of fashion.
At some point I found out Adderall is actually Amphetamine, essentially the same thing as Speed, which freaked me out because I never want to try speed. Everyone told me not to worry, that it was really weak stuff, which I agreed with since it was just making me a little chatty and a craving for cigarettes, but not much else. So I happily focused my energy on smoking joints, which became a lot of fun.
Now it is almost 5am in the morning, and after only 1.5 pills (dont know the weight, seemed pretty small) I still cant get to sleep damnit, I thought this shit was supposed to be "weak". I have come down off my weed high, and all I am left with is this focused energy (its almost dawn, I dont want to be energetic damnit) and a damn racing heartbeat.
So anyway, this has been a long post but my question to anyone who has tried this stuff before is this: Is it normal to still be awake after this long? I assume my racing heart will slow down soon, but any suggestions for something to do in the mean time? And the main question: did I just take speed, or does this not even compare? From now on I will research my drugs on Erowid a bit more before I just rush into things.
Oh, BTW, I know this seems like a long post for a small question, but I need to do something with this energy, and typing is good.

First off, amphetamine and methamphetamine have the exact same effects. The only difference is that methamphetamine asorbs into the body easier because of the methyl group attatched to it. Also, yes, even taking one adderall pill will more than likely make you stay up all night and in all honesty you probably won't crash until the afternoon. Also haha try having sex, it will be the best sex you've ever had while on amphetamine.

Your ok, unless you have a bad heart or something. I myself have blown 5 adderall at once, and boy was I flying for like two days straight. In my opinion, I like it better than coke. Though the come down can be a bitch sometimes. Theres qualitys in both I enjoy. I know people who have blown 10 at once and almost ended up in the hospital. Just be careful and be smart about it.

Thanks for the advice!
Now I am no longer stressed about it being too dangerous and starting to feel like I might be able to sleep soon, I am thinking this could be a fun drug to use from time to time. maybe one pill before a night of drinking or something. Would have to be wary of getting hooked though, from what I hear.
However, I should probably get a bit fitter first, I dont think my heart is coping too well on the stoner/student diet I have been living on lately.

First of all.... there are many kinds of pills which have all different amounts of "adderal" in them. Second, you should be fine.... unless you took a crazy amount. 13 year old kids take prolly 3 times what you did.
And weed always helped me go to bed on that shit... so try and get that...good luck.

My first time taking adderall I took it at lunch time on day one and I was up till 2 am on day 3. I think I am really sensitive to adderall though, you might be as well.

The thing you might have trouble with is called Same state Learning. Studies show that people do better on tests if their body does not change from learning to actually taking test. In other words, someone took some caffeine while studying and took caffeine while taking the test. the other subject took caffeine during studying but did not take the caffeine for the test. The guy that took both times will do better on the test. there is a fancy psychology term for this, but its been a couple years since I took the course. Just a theory but I have personally tested this, and my results seem to lean that it is true. And drinking on adderal may not be such a good thing for you. Best to not mix drugs.

adderall is no big deal. u just dont have add thats why u got the speed effect.
in order for me to get the effect to stay up for like 2 days i have to probably take like 80+ mg, ive done 60 mg and at like 7 am, and fell asleep at midnight.
i think if you smoke alot adderall doesnt effect u as much. cuz i know i got add, but 60 mg of adderall is kinda alot considering my ADD friend that i got it from takes 60 and hes up 20 hrs +

I actually couldn't tell you. A buddy of mine bought some adderall and he had it in a baggie. He left the baggie in his pants and it went through the wash and all the pills were all squished together and melted. He didn't want them so he gave them to me for free. I took out a huge chunk of adderall pills and ate them. That wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done but I didn't get any negative effects from it so I'm guessing I didn't take too much.
