inoculating manure
    #4304766 - 06/16/05 07:26 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

I was wondering if anyone could help me out here. I normally inoculate grain jars with liquid mycelial culture then put them into casings, however, I want to try some new methods. I am interested in doing some outdoor patches as well and am going to use the cakes to do so. I was wondering though what kind of success I would have if I inoculated pasturized straw/manure with the liquid mycelial culture as well. I assume that it would work, but does anyone tried this before? Any help here would be appreciated.

I'm def no expert, but i dont think a LC would be enough to spawn to poo, Better using rice cakes, or better yet grain.

haven't never tried it but have read some posts where it was recommended to spawn cakes or your grain jars to poo first and then make your outdoor bed.
good luck

I could see your idea working, if you just spawned a little bit of poo with your LC, and then kept mixing more poo in there, as it colonizes 'til you have a few quarts worth..
