Colonized Jars - Temps?
    #4303931 - 06/16/05 04:07 PM (11 years, 5 months ago)

Once the jars are colonized is it still necessary to keep the temps between 80-85?

My assumption is no but i figured i'd ask.

I ran a quick search didnt find anything.

Sorry if i suck at it.

:mushroom2:  Once the jars are fully colonized it's time to cold shock then birth.  I'm assuming that you're growing on cakes?  :mushroom2:

you would keep your double tub at room temps of 73 to 76 degrees F...

at least that would be the ideal temps.

12 to 24 hours...while they are in water.

so you are dunking the cakes and cold shocking them at the same time.

the cakes.

or you can take out the dry verm barrier and add water to the jar...
close the lid back up...then put them in the frig.

if you are not ready to use the wbs jars, then you can stall them in the fridge until you are ready to use them. i had a few jars in the fridge for a week while waiting for others and have had no probs with them.
peace

Sorry about that.

The amount doesn't really matter if they are under the water. Enough to cover the cake.

No. I don't know what funmatic meant.. but you need to cover the cakes. That's why you are dunking them.. to have them in water....
