I found these growing all through the hill beside my house and i was wondering what species they were.
The caps range from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inch.
location:E Kentucky
weather: It rained over the weekend but it's been warm the last 3 days
we have horses so these might have possibly grew from horse manure.






Any help will be greatly appreciated.

get a white piece of paper and lay the cap on the paper with the gill side on the paper, leave for 5 hours then take them off

then let us know what color the spore print was

i picked those the other day lol , pinch it lightly and see if it bruises any colors also.

I think there unactive.

the spore prints are balck, the mushroom stem also bruises black. The cap of the mushrooms also cahnged to a darker tint about an hour after i removed the stems.

Those look like they could be Pan subbs. A clear shot of the gills would help verify.

if the spores are pitch balck then they should be subbs, look like the foes i picked.
