You got any fresh cat litter? You can use that as desiccant I believe.

I am not messing with you.....cat litter is meant to extract moisture from the cat shit, and will extract moisture from mushrooms if you have the drying chamber set up with the proper ratio. Is it better to use an actual recommended desiccant like Damp Rid? Yep. Is it better to use a fan or dehydrator? Yep. But you said common household items....fans are usually bulky and unstealthy to sat the least....dehydrators and damp rid do not in my opinion fall into the category of common. Good luck bro

for the first day or 2 i just let them sit out in the open air then i throw them in the dehydrator. other wise small fan or cat liter.
