Help Identifying Mushroom

Well I went on my first mushroom hunt today, Im a complete newbie by the way. I found this mushroom growing near a horse pasture and was just wondering if anyone could identify it, im sure its not active just curious to know what it is...it bruises blue and the spore print didnt work very well but it looks bluish too...

don't know exactly what it is.. but i can tell u this.. never heard of a non gilled active mushroom

A bolete species..
The blue bruising ones should be avoided because many are toxic.

Well your're right about it being non gilled, but its definetly not active. Its actually a bolete and I think many are poisonous. This right here is exactly why they say not all mushrooms that bruise blue are active

It's a bolete. A lot of them blue none are known to be active.
They grow in association with trees. Nice pictures.

We need more information to identify it.

Which state are you in?
If you scratch the tubes, how long does it take them to turn blue?
What kind of trees was it found near? (Pine or hardwood is usually good enough).

After you answer those I will probably have more questions before we can ID it.
