Working with old people
    #4300343 - 06/15/05 06:30 PM (11 years, 5 months ago)

I don't think I could do it because I'd get sad when they died.

Yeah it would be sad...but hey, i mean it's a natural process and it's going to happen to all of us sooner or later.

Like a retirement home, or old people in general?

I think it would be in their homes. I'm assuming its kind of like a hospice deal.

i have a very crazy friend who works with old people who are home-bound. he likes the job, but he only works nights, where he has to make sure they don't fall dead in their sleep, so i guess it's not so much personal contact, really....

I don't think I could work with old people, I know I wouldn't care when they died but I couldn't deal with seeing the humen mind and body fall apart like that. Thats just too difficult for me, and I know its nothign they can help but still.
