Sugars are being converted to starches...so your losing nutes and getting grain that will clump easier.

I have used grain a few times that sprouted without any serious issues...if its minor sprouts, you'll probably be ok...but I'd suggest making up a good batch of jars, just in case.

"life is like a drop of rain getting closer and closer to falling into a lake, and then when you hit the lake there is no more rain drop, only the lake."

Growing with bags, start to finish (including my new grain and substrate prep)
Anyone looking to start bulk tubs/mono tubs/shotgun hybrids? Good tubs to use..
How I do grain (old still good tips)
Turn your closet into a fruiting chamber
Casing layer colonization and overlay

Acually starches are being converted to sugars (mainly maltose) by amylase. Seeds are basically condensed and portable energy storage systems. Starch is more efficiently stored than mono/oligosaccharides (less waters of hyrdration needed).

But Like scat said, either way they should work fine, as long as they're not too far along.
