The Joys Of A Mulchbed
    #4294401 - 06/14/05 08:18 AM (11 years, 5 months ago)

These sexy babes started popping up from my mulch bed by the hundreds. I took a spore-print its a really dark rustic brown. Anybody have any idea what they might be?

Rusty brown colored spore prints are something to avoid for mushrooms you want to put in your mouth. There are several deadly poisonous species with spore prints that color. In general, mushrooms with that color spore print are very difficult to identify accurately.

Happy mushrooming!
