I can't really tell what they are. Can you post a few more pics? Do you know what kind of tree stump they were growing on? Around here in Penn. they grow almost exclusively on Oaks, but they also grow on other hardwoods like Maples and Ashes. Did you take a spore print? It should be rust orange. I wouldn't eat them without a positive ID, cause they could be Omphalotus olearius, which are poisonus. They have a white to cream spore print.
