afoaf has a couple casings and one of them is almost 1/3 covered with a light white(myc) fungus very see through and there are a coplu of spots that are getting thicker. no funky smells. this one was intoduced to the light 5 days ago and no pins yet. another one has just a little bit of the seethrough stuff but there is one pin poking through this one has been in a incubator with no light and he forgot to cover it yesterday. my question is is there something wrong with the other casing. they are strait verm all have the same moisture amount . they are eqs. im using perlite and a bubbler for return oxygen there are also a couple of holes for excaping co2. thanks in advance

guys he is really worried that he is going to lose this casing could someone actually read this and make some suggestions. please he is bugging the hell out of me to find out. thanks everyone

OK -- vermiculite-only casings take longer to get going. Also, for smaller setups, you might be going overboard with all kinds of humidity sources. A casing's #1 enemy is overwatering.

At this point, keep them under fluorescent lights for 24 hours at a time if you want. Using fluoros in the high blue spectrum -- 6500k -- is ideal for pin initiation. The common name for these lights is Deluxe Cool White.

i don't mist. the humidty is almost 90 cake #1 is a little dry on top compared to the rest. any other suggestions
