microwaving and pc'ing plastic?

what do the #'s in the triangle signify on the bottom of plastic containers. which can be pc'ed and which can you microwaved? :confused:

#5 for both micro and pc? i thought micro would work on a lower # than the pc. perhaps i was wrong. thanx guys
