 my kitty had to have her tail amputated.

SO sad!
Poor cute little thing. We looked out the glass door and saw her tail dripping blood, no fur, no skin in sight. We have no clue what happened to her. The vet said their tails can get caught on/under/in things like doors, fences or car tires....
anyway, she had to have it amputated and now she has a shaved bum and a tiny stub sewn up with stitches. It's so sad! Maybe I'll taka a picture for ya'll when I'm done in the garden.

that sux...but at least she'll be fine, and won't have to worry about getting her tail caught in anything anymore. she'll be like a lil' bobcat.

Yeah thats lame. Happens to people that wear rings to work while operating machinery. They call it gloving. Hope the kitty gets better soon.
Yeah bob cats are cool. We got the real thing up in the hills around my house.

she'll be fine.
she might have been almost eaten and gotten away
by losing the tail.

When my first cat got spayed, she was all doped up on medicine and groggy when I took her home. I was watching a movie while she slept in the other room, and had it up kind of loud. All of a sudden I heard a soft meow noise, and looked down to see my kitten, slumped at my feet, next to the couch...she had been trying to jump up there and lay on my lap, and just couldn't do it, the poor thing
Give your kitty lots of extra attention and make sure its comfortable. It will be up and playful again before you know it.

My cat that weighed 20 pounds was lying under a dumpster once. The arbage man picked the dumpster up along with my cat by its leg. Took him to the vet. Doctor said this cat by the looks of the x-ray has had every bone in its body broken at one point or another. This accident is just a few more bones. As always he will be fine. Ugh i loved that cat!

The cat I had growing up as a child had a stump for a tail. She came that way and I quickly got used to it. Now, when I see a cat with a tail, I think it looks kind of odd.

Poor thing. I noticed my cat recently had some kind of wound. He's a tough cat, although he also happens to run when the phone rings. Strange for a cat to be so hardcore and yet scaredy at the sametime.

Exactly the same thing happened to my mates cat. Came home with no skin on her tail, they had to amputate. Vet said it was probably a wire fence.

There's a guy in my town that has a bumper sticker that says:"Looking for your cat , try under my tires". I promptly keyed his truck for him.

I always was. My family always having Labradors. But me and my gf recently got two kittens, they're very cool little things esp when high!
Still when I'm older, richer with a bigger garden I'm getting a dog. Mans best friend.
