Pins are turning black
    #4288521 - 06/12/05 09:42 PM (11 years, 5 months ago)

Some of the heads of the pins are turning black, I guess this is when they stopped producing and will no longer grow. So I got worried and picked 4 of them off of my cake. One bad thing I was picking one off that was right next to a big mushroom, and that one came up to. I am scared because it says you should pick all mushrooms off after 24 hours of picking your first one off. Should I leave the aborted pins alone, one of them was getting black and crawling down the stem so I had to move it. Because wont it contam. my cake if I leave them on>? Should i pick all my mushrooms off and case it. Its a wbs cake. Theres about 7 mushrooms that havent unveiled but there getting pretty big. What would you recommend me to do. thanks in advance.

Aborts. They still contain psilocybin.

Yep they sure do lmao. All four plus the big one that came off is giving a nice body high. I am just worried because of the whole pick all of them after you remove first one, or does that not apply to aborts?

What sucks is that I labeled the jars with a marker of which strain it is, but that has since been rubbed off. So i have no idea which is which. I think they are orissa india.

you should be ok, just let the first flush finish off now. then harvest the rest and continue as normal for second flush. make sure you get all of the shroom pieces off the cake or they will rot in too.
peace

it should be fine. you can leave aborts for as long as you like to wait to pick the rest.  in my experience they wont start to rot for about a week as long as temp a humidity is right.

i dunno where you got this from, but i will often harvest over a couple of days if i have an uneven pinset.  you dont really have to pick them all at once.

also, play on the flop is much more important than preflop

Instead of dunking and fruiting on the cake. I am going to spawn it to some h poo and case it. Hopefully it work, since I did one flush. I will make sure to get all pieces of mushroom off of the cake. Hopefully it will be good enough.
