I used peat moss as a casing layer and have a strange very fast growing mold growing on every bit of peat moss in the terrarium. I can't tell what it is but I'm guessing Aspergillus flavus although I can't find enough pics to be sure. What's odd is that this mold seems to only like the peat moss and doesn't seem to affect the mycelium at all, in fact the flushes are coming normally. Is this organism dangerous or harmless? How can I identify it? Does anyone out there have similar experiences or knowledge about this mold? I transferred some of it to an agar plate with some mycelium to see what would happen and took some pictures of it so that hopefully someone can help me figure out what it is and whether or not my crop is ruined.
