Hello, this is my first grow and due to inexperience I am going to try and fruit in the bag (my next grow I will try more advanced techniques). I was wondering about fanning the myco bags. How often should I do it and for how long? Also I'd imagine that I'm suppost to fan the filter patch right? Thanks for the help in advance!

well imho, if your gonna keep it in the bag i suggest you cut the bag down to maybe 1/2 inch above the substrate. fan and mist at least 3 times a day. maybe fan for like 2-5 mins and then lightly mist.
i tried fruiting in the bag and i found misting to be a bitch and the co2 build up made the shrooms real skinny. when i saw that i took them out and put them on plastic lids with moist verm and put verm on top of the 'cakes' as well. the lids i put in a fruiting chamber with perlite and fanned and misted 3 times a day. im glad i did that because from the sub. from 2 bags i got about 4 oz's dry. i highly suggest taking the colonized sub out of the bag.

DO NOT FAN UNTIL IT IS FULLY COLONIZED

The filter patch works fine.

Once fully colonized, you will get fruits... feel free to cut the TOP of the bag open and fan ONCE, but you shouldn't need to.

Keep the bag tall, when you harvest, cut the TOP of the bag open, pick the shrooms, and they will FAN THEMSELVES! Then mist the inside of the bag with water... close the top w/ paperclips... and wait for the next flush.

It works GREAT!

Yeah there fully colonized. Since I have 5 bags that are fully colonized I am doing a little experimenting. I cased one with peat/verm to see how that would work.
