ok, i have never taken shrooms before, but i really want to. I couldn't find anyone to sell them until the other day i found out my friend of a few months knows where to get them. he says they're "gold flake shrooms" and that they're good, but i'm not sure if i should trust him or not ---i really don't want to die over some shrooms. any suggestions?

A lot of people in the northwest and espeacially the south talk about getting shrooms with gold caps. In the midwest and east, a lot of people get red capped shrooms (not amanita muscaria or any amanita, I believe they are a form of cubensis).

If they bruise bluish-green then you are probably good to go.

a bruise is when you touch them, or handle them "roughly" and if they are good mushrooms they will turn a bluish-green color. if they do then that means they have psilocybin/psilocin in them

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but amanitas not related to psilocybes and do not contain any psilocybin or psilocin. Amanita muscaria is a completely different drug (also more toxic). Some other species of Amanita will KILL you. ~BD

I was trying to say that most people assume that when I say "Red Capped" that the mushrooms I am talking about are Amanita Muscaria. I have never seen a dealer who deals those. I was just saying that there is a red capped cubie that was being dealt in the east and midwest last year around this time. Those mushrooms were shitty and lasted a short time. The visuals were very good on one trip, but they're not worth the $25-$30 people paid for them. When my friend dealt shrooms that his FOAF grew, people couldn't handle a full eigth or they would wig out for 6-8 hours. LOL, unless you want to spend a lot of cash on shrooms, you can "test" a low dose of a batch, you should either take half the eigth and then take the other half later. That is still a small dose for shrooms from dealers. Anyway, your best bet is to grow them, it's a lot cheaper, I'm talking (PF Tech, say a dozen jars) up to a QP for the price of a quarter ounce of dealer shrooms. You make the decision. Although, it is very illegal and I would never encourage anyone to grow illegal substances.

my guess is if you see any gold flakes on your shrooms, it's vermiculite.

Yep. When people say they're better because they have gold flakes on them, call 'bullshit.' It's from vermiculite, part of the substrate in which they were grown in.
