I don't think these are anything, but Mario went for the red one's so i figured why not... I found them growing out of a dirt pipe in an area that was timbered and chiped at one time. The dirt was red clay. Found in VA.

amanitas? i dont know much about identifying, but they look kinda like amanitas, which some are edible and active. but i also know that in that same family of mushroom there are horibly poisonous ones. be careful and wait for a better ID

Amanita parcivolvata- inedible, inactive, and will make you shit your pants heavily- I'd know- I've tried.

Correct. No veil, and the gills are too yellow for Amanita caesara.
The abcense of warts is suspicious, but i wouldn't test them.
I second Superblingtheory's ID.
