    #4284506 - 06/11/05 09:24 PM (11 years, 8 months ago)

it has been raining a lont in the state of WA. I was walking on the rail road tracks next to the beach and saw this mushrooms growing from the rocks directly underneath the tracks.

afterwards we decided to check out the grassy feilds in the park. We found many pan foes. and possibly some subbs.

then we found these white mushrooms... not sure what they are. but very delicate, while gills also.

unfourtunatly i don't think i can post any more pictures for some reason.

spore print is being taked from the possible subbs. hope its black. but the rail road mushrooms are not able to produce a print because the gills are all stucktogether wet.

rail road mushrooms
a. Washington growing on rocks in the rail road tracks
b. gills tan outside fading to purple brown in the middle (see photo)
c. cap .5 inch diameter dark brown in middle fading to lighter brown stem 1.5 inch.
d. white stem, smooth, thick, strong,e. Characteristics of the cap (color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc)
f. Spore print color pending
g. Color that the mushroom bruises not apparent
h. Scent of a mushroom
