The best submersible heater?
    #4284101 - 06/11/05 07:21 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

i've been gone for several days, before i left there was a thread where people had been debating which heaters suited the best.  one in particular was mentioned by several people as reliable.  i believe it was $30 in most stores, any idea what it was or any suggestions on a good one.

i've got jars up in a box in a room that's maintaining above 80 for the most part, but right now the temp in the box is 90 and i know it's even hotter in the jars, so i'm looking to hook something up like the tub/in/t for an incubator.  i can't imagine fluxuation of temperatures from 90+ to 80- is helping colonization...  :mushroom2:

there are several good brands of submersible heaters.

Ebo Jagar, Tronic, Stealth to name a few.

they are all good ones.

I would pick the Ebo Jagar.

I have 2 Ebo Jagars that have lasted over 14 years...I had them in fish tanks before I started growing mushrooms.

They are a quality product...but they are a little spendy though.
