day 8-alot of mycelium on both casings, the layer of mycelium seems very thin though

you are approaching overlay, you want pinning while the caseing can still serve a purpose.

overlay is when the mycelium on your casings become thick and matted... Basically means that it can?t pin because there?s too much shit on top.

someone refine that answer... I?ve never had overlay, so I can?t give a real succinct answer.
