Genisis

according to genisis, god told adam and eve to be fruitful and multiply (make babies) populate the earth..correct?

why then wouldn't Jesus, the "son of god" feel the need to "plant his seed" so to speak?

was that not disobediance?

or was he the love 'em and leave 'em type?

Well, don't gnostics think that he did?

And even if he didn't, it was far less important to multiply at the time of Jesus then in the begining.

But yes, if Jesus was not the son of Joseph but son of god, he must have carried some extraordinary genes that alowed him to be intelligent, and have special abilities like he demonstrated. It would make much sense if he passed these "holy" genes to humanity. Those genes would be much like computer patches that update the human gene pool

What Is really interesting to me is that, Adam and Eve's children had to practice incest in order to multiply. At least before the "sons of god" came down to impregnate the daughters of man.

"Son of God" is an Old Testament title for Kings of Israel, and like kings throughout the history of the world, from the Egyptian Pharaohs to Solomon to Chinese emperors, there is the notion of the 'Divine Right of Kings' - that they are king because it is God's will. Jesus was identified in the New Testament with the fulfillment of prophesies about a Messianic King. The sign affixed to His cross (according to scripture) which read "Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews" was facetiousness on the part of Pontius Pilate - to piss off the Jews who clamoured for Jesus' death.

Most non-Jews whom I've met in life are absolutely clueless about what the title 'Son of God,' or 'Son of Man' (coming from Daniel and other apocalyptic Jewish sources) actually meant to the people at the time that Jesus walked the earth. It wasn't until somwhere between 80 A.D. and 120 A.D. when the Gospel of John was written, that this title became completely colored by Greek mythological concepts and mutated into Orthodox theology. The God of Jesus is Spirit, unrepresentable, and unlike Zeus (and other gods) does NOT create offspring with mortal women. This is the idea of a 'Hero' (like Heracles [Hercules]) - born of 'God' and a mortal woman, taking his nature from both sources.

The other meaning of the 'sons' which you name are the 'Watchers' from the Pseudepigraphal books of Enoch - fallen angels who corrupted humanity. Jesus, would never have thought of Himself in the ways that have been projected upon Him by peoples whose beliefs are outside of His own 1st century Judaism.

INRI ...yes, yes, i know.

but why wouldn't Jesus feel it was necessary to pass along his knowledge to his very own flesh and blood?
