Hot glass cold water=bad

First i would like to say thanks to everyone who answered my last post. So i went ahead and was boiling my jars i figure ill boil for a long time to kill contams in the rye flour.

So anyways i went out for a few min come back and there is no water left, so stupid me i add some more water. BANG! cracked all but 4 of my ten jars. So now i have 4 with substrate one empty. hahahaha. so all the newbies dont be like me and dont add cold water to hot jars! :)

Reminds me of when I was about 8 and tried to make hot chocolate in a wine glass...
