if you cant make the effort to articulate anything beyond *sucked* then, with your obvious intelligence, you should be able self-censor and realize that you have nothing interesting, informed or reasonable to say.

Basketball Diaries is a good call... best performance I've seen out of Leo.
IMDB describes Raising Arizona as:
"When a childless couple of an ex-con and an ex-cop decide to help themselves to one of another family's quintupelets, their lives get more complicated than they anticipated."
Nicholas Cage plays the ex-con, (excellent performance by Cage... but then, he is usually quite good.) Holly Hunter is the ex-cop. The movie has the Coen Brothers' surreal-esque feel... hard to describe, but they use surrealism very lightly so that it seems VERY outlandish, but never impossible.
Most people either LOVE their movies, or don't get them at all. If you liked The Big Lebowski, O Brother! Where art Thou?, or The Ladykillers, this is a must see classic by the same creators.

The Castle and Chopper should be available in any ha;f-assed video store throughout Canada, and metropolitan US. How about *he died with a fallafel in his hand* did you dig that?

How to sound like a poser.
Step 1: If anyone expresses a taste in anything well known, or "mainstream", make sneery comments about how limited their tastes must be.
Step 2: Watch at least one foreign movie that you can bring up so you sound like you know what you're talking about. Don't worry! Lots of them are just like the usual american movies you watch now, only with subtitles.

The Castle was a good movie. My dad just got a bunch of Kurosawa DVDs, so I've been watching those. Great movies.
...anything by Wes Andersen, the Coen brothers, or written by Charlie Kaufman is good (anyone ever see Human Nature? It flopped, but it's a pretty good movie. Not his best, but worth seeing).
