first memory?
    #4274276 - 06/08/05 11:35 PM (18 years, 9 months ago)

childhood is a big change in consciousness that we all go through.

our brains are still pulling us out of the void.

what is your first memory?

mine: crawling from the living room to the kitchen in the house in texas, seeing the refrigerator, my mom's legs, being scared of the closet

I only go as far back as age 3. I remember pulling the couch cushions onto the floor and jumping on the piles.

My daughter is 8 and its weird watching her earlier childhood memories that are yet so recent and vivid to me, disappear on her.

I remember being an infant in my mothers arms while she smoked a cig.

For years she claimed that she stopped smoking before I was born. I stuck to my story. And 35 years later she remembered that she had quit a month or so after I was born. We found the evidence in some old photos.

I think I was about 2 or so. I remember being in a playpen with a stuffed Snoopy doll. Strange how that stays in my memory.....

I haven't the slightest idea.

Haven't thought about it enough to go back any further than ? or so. I remember me and a girl i was really good friends with being given a video to share when I was in kindergarten.

I was 3 years old, living in southern california. It was raining... and hard!!! I was outside, playing in the rain, in my swimsuit.

My first memory was 28th of march 2005. That was when I chose to be born in 1984.

My first memory is of a concert my parents and grandparents took my then baby brother and me to at the Miami Orange Bowl, where the Dolphins used to play football. I remember distinctly because the music made an impression on me; I liked it. It's also my earliest recollection of my brother (in diapers). :jamming:

I was recently able to look up the date of the concert after describing the memory to my parents and asking if it was real. I was 2 years 2 months at the time. :tongue2:

The oldest memory I have which I can tie to a specific age is of dancing and making funny faces to get my infant brother to laugh for a cassette tape recording my Mom was making. He was about 6 months old, so I was 4.

I have memories which may be earlier, but I cannot tie them to a point in time.

see I can think of a bunch of memories from ye olden days, but I dunno which is the oldest.

One was, sitting in my living room next to the counter throwing cheerios on the floor and eating them.

My oldest memory is of a concrete stair flying towards my head (well, the other way around) when I was 3, and the resulting hospital visit.

  at the fact that it was the other way around from the way you must have perceived it as a small child.

My earliest memory is about 3 years old and my family and I went on a trip in an woody station wagon through the redwood forest.  Mainly, I remember the woody.  I just really liked it, so I remembered where we went in it, and we only had it for that trip.
