Can anyone ident these?
    #4271050 - 06/08/05 09:16 AM (18 years, 10 months ago)

My god damn computer just restarted after I wrote this whole thing, so here goes again:
The first I believe are Copelandia cyanescens, but they are all white with grey gills long white stalks.

The second I believe is Limacella guttata. It resembles the look of some Amanitas, has ring, and white gills

The third resembles the above, but lacks the ring and the cap has a more closed-off structure. It seems to be bruising, but this could be from the others.

I'll take any bone you can throw me. Thanks and  Happy Hunting! :penis:

The 3rd one looks lots like a cube, but I really don't think it is. No characteristic odor, ring, plus the gills are brilliant white. No noticable bruising on the cap. But I'll prolly end up eating it anyway. Doesn't look like anything harmful.

EDIT EDIT I ment the 4th pic look like cubes.
It dosnt matter if there is no bruising on cap.  Alot of times its on the stems.  I see faint bruising.  Maybe its just my moniter.  Also can you get a pic of the under side.  Im not good at IDing i just know those arnt cyans .

I could be wrong though wait till more experience heads this way.

I can't tell if you are kidding or not with saying "i'll probably eat them anyway" but you shouldn't eat any mushrooms if you aren't 100% sure of what they are. The third ones are cubes, with their dark gills, blue bruising, and smiley faces.

This might be a better picture of the gills. Difficult with the POS camera. The cap is just pale white with a very subtle tan tint.

I think the one without the ring is a false ceasar.

false ceasars have veils, and their caps are red to orangish-yellow.

For the first one we'll need a spore print color. Do the spore print on white paper for identification purposes.

The second and third ones are both Amanitas. One of the most important things we need to see to identify Amanitas is the base of the stem and the volva. Unfortunately, it looks like both of those were broken off. For future reference, you need to carefully dig up the base of the mushroom and try to get the entire volva, which can be extremely fragile.

Happy mushrooming!

your first mushroom is the non-active Panaeolus antillarum.
