PCing a bunch of quart jars 2 at a time is starting to become a pain in the ass. is their another way i can sterilize my WBS jars?
i was thinking oven as another option, but am unsure of the temps and times needed.

The oven will not work to sterilize. It will cook your grain. A bigger PC is the solution. RR

I have a 23-Qt and I absolutely hate doing 4 runs with it, wastes my whole day.... I suggest you getting the biggest you can afford.

hmmm.....me thinks this is going to be a problem. i wouldnt mind getting a slighter taller one, as it takes me 5 mins just to get the lid on with the quart jars in there.
gah, just more money to throw down the drain.

you can find them at garage sales, goodwill, thrift stores, etc.
you can post your old PC in the marketplace
just a few suggestions to help your money go further

They retail for a little over $500. I'm getting one on e-bay, new, for $349.

email the guy that sells the new AA pressure cookers on Ebay...and make him an offer on the AA 930 model.
tell him you will pay him $200.00 for the AA 930...including shipping.
thats what I did.

my AA 930 just fits under the range hood over the top of my oven.
the AA 941 wouldn't fit on my stove...its too big!~
so be careful which model you buy!~

so i would have to turn on all 4 burners at once to get it to PC? hah, i dont think i need that big of a PC, can anyone recommend a model that would easily fit 4 quart jars?
i dont have a problem with spending a couple hours PCing 4 at a time, but 4+ hours PCing 2 at a time, no Fing way.

the AA 930 and the AA 941...only use one burner on the stove.
they are just wider and taller than other pressure cookers.
---
The AA 910 holds 4 quart jars.
The AA 915 holds 7 quart jars.
The AA 921 holds 7 quart jars...but will hold more 1/2 pint and pint jars than the AA 915.
The AA 925 holds 7 quart jars...and holds the same amount of 1/2 pint and pint jars as the AA 921.
The AA 930 holds 14 quart jars.
the AA 941 holds 19 quart jars.

Anything worth doing takes time. Dont get frustrated. Or do like my friend does buy pre sterilized jars off of ebay. he has had great results spawning them in h poo.

I'd suggest the AA 921...used off Ebay.
Or find a cheap used AA 910 off Ebay...if you really only need to do 4 quart jars at a time.
take care!~

It might not be the best idea.... now that I see RK mention that the 921 will only hold 7 jars.....
BUT
I always load up my AA 921 with 10 jars per run. 7 standing up and three laid on there side stacked on top of those 7.
Don't forget it's not just for jars
No problems so far. I would HIGHLY recommend getting a 921, 10 jars is pretty convenient for me.
