I have never seen this movie before but have heard a LOT about it... So today I went to Wal-Mart to buy a copy(Blockbuster did not have it in stock), and they only had the "special edition" priced at $32...
Im thinking... FUCK THAT!
SO then I went to K-Mart... they did not have it
Then I went to 2 different independent movie rental joints and they did not even have it for RENT!
Is this movie really that good?
Is it worth buying... I know that I WANT to see it but... $32... I could prolly DL it and be happy w/ a shitty version b4 I dish out $32...

Reason people don't stock it in movie stores is because people just steal that shit. As for stores, I am clueless, maybe because of the same reason.

Yes, definitely read the book first! You'll be glad you did...

That's a decent movie, but I think the Johnny Depp version captures the spirit of the book much better.....

It is one of those movies which you never get tired of. Plus johnny depp rocks the socks.

Spend the money and get both the movie and the book, both are really really good.

I personaly think Bill does a better job as HST. They were pretty good friends, Johnny Depp is also good, but sometimes it seems like he makes HST out to be too silly. As far as the movie goes, Terry Gilliam for ever!

Any actor who intentionally burns themselves for realism deserves an Oscar.
Toro does, yes.
