The beauty of innoculating with mycelium water

Ive found that innoculating with mycelium water is the best method out there. About a month ago a friend of mine who we'll call tommy inoculated a jar containing 96ml of spring water and 4ml of karo water with thai koh samui. (One of the fastest colonizing strains of cubensis. 2 weeks ago tommy shook the water pulled 4cc's into a syringe and inoculated 2 pint pf cakes. 2 weeks later they were 100% colonized, dunked, rolled, and birthed. 4 days ago he inoculated 7 half pint jars with pf tek subbing dark rye flour for brf. All of those cakes are over 50% colonized already and 2 are over 75%. This is also a good way to lessen the number of times you have to deal with making a spore print and then making a syringe.

thats a long time to colonize from a LC...
you must be doing something wrong.
hell...I can colonize a jar from a multi spore syringe faster than that!~

yeah man LC's kick ass! I mean, you take one cc of your favorite spore solution and inoculate 500mL of water with one tiny bit of honey it in, and end up with enough mycelium culture to inoculate 500 jars!
It doesn't get any better than that! No constant spore printing and syringe making or any of that hassle! Once you have one clean spore syringe and a couple backup prints you are practically set for life!

Once the jar of karo or honey has mycelium how do you transfer to inoculate? Use a fresh empty syringe and draw it up and then spit it out again? I
could say, a used spore syringe be used for this? lame questions, but im wondering.

Tommy usually sterilizes the syringe by the intake of boiling water and flame sterilizing the tip and rub it down with an alcohol pad. Then he shakes the LC a little and pulls the lc into the syringe over the updraft of the oven. Never had a single problem with contams.
The jars that took 2 weeks were pint jars and were brf. The dark rye just seems to add a little extra punch. At 5 days 2 half pints are 95% with the bottom already fully colonized. the other 5 are over 75%. IN 5 DAYS!

6 days... 2 half pints 100% the other 5 will be done tommorrow. The two that were 100% were cased with 60/40 verm/coir.
The lc innoc of verm/dark rye is the easiest thing for tommy right now, and 6 days til birth of a pf cake isnt bad. He just got a pressure cooker but still wants to get some tyvek before going g2g. He also has enough projects going on right now anyway.

you are supposed to wait a few days after 100% colonization for the middle to colonize.

i have experimented with that and found that with this method at least, the middle is completely colonized at 100%. Koh Samui is the fastest colonizing strain ive ever seen though, and i have NEVER had any contams with it.
4 cakes are going to be over incubated 2 for 4weeks 2 for 6weeks. To do an experiment with potency increase that ive read a few threads about in the last few weeks.

Don't forget that a cubic centimeter (cc) is also equal to one milliliter (mL) and that one mL of water equals one gram (g). I LOVE THE METRIC SYSTEM! The whole thing is based on water, and is so simple!

if only there was a metric calendar
-------------------- Under his instruction, I taped drumsticks to his head and turned him into a sort of mummy, or perhaps a caterpiller in a cocoon. He remains this way for about three hours, making bizarre noises, pretending to be a new species that must learn to walk and talk and eat, etc. And he communicates with other life forms by way of the antennae on his head. Eventually we jam a tube from a waterbong into it's mouth and figure he's learned all he needs to know.
