Fat and good strain?
    #4266551 - 06/07/05 03:38 AM (11 years, 5 months ago)

I was dissapointed to find that Mazapatec has a hollow stem. They don't tell you that stuff. I like it. But, Penis Envy is just soooo much better.

I need a strain that grows fast and has solid fat stems ie mucho weight, somewhat pretty in appearance and provides a bountiful buzz.

I love the PE buzz. More of that without the long grow time would be very welcome.

I have thought of Cambodians, Equadorians, Burma... tried Z strain didn't like it at all.

Are there any recommendations? Perhaps Hawaiin's

I am so glad to be picky... LOL.

I've been happy with Texas.  May not be exactly what your looking for but very easy to get good pinsets.

Some of the fruits end up quite large (although very hollow stem  )

Good luck with whatever you go with

Mark

They dont tell you those things because how the mushroom grows depends more on how you grow it, then the strain. Although strain does play a part. But for example, EQ's have been very solid for me. Z's have been the most solid so far, yet. You may also like Amazons, those are my second highest yeilder.

Z:

Amazon:

Brazils were pretty too....and kinda solid if grown on poo, they are a bit thin but next highest yeilder so far:

Actually looking back, Hawaiins were probably the most solid strain so far...I didnt grow them for long and yeilds werent huge...they were fat and solid as hell though:

Main one is probably substrate...followed in a close second by air exchange...then I'd say correct humidity (not meaning, higher the best, at 85% humidity, transpiration is better making them fatter). IME

Those were them in order, Z's, Amazons, then Brazils probably...but around 3rd or 4th place they all start to tie. Of like 15 or 16 strains I've done now, there would probably only be 5-7 places if I were to put them all in order of yield. Most strains do averagly well, a couple a little better (the ones I said) a couple a little worse..those strains I didnt play with much though and others have great luck with a strain of the same name...just different genetics or substrate or conditions...so I dont like to talk down any particular strain...but I encourage people to try those that worked well for me...doesnt mean they will for everyone, but they might

the fattest shrooms ive got was KSSS. they were solid and heavy but not the best colonizer out there.
