popcorn soaking

a couple of days ago i soaked some popcorn for 24 hours and then rinsed it and set it out to drain. i'm just now getting around to being able to pressure cook the popcorn and jars. is the popcorn still worth anything? do i need to soak it again and then drain for 45 minutes before i pressure cook?

from what this says, i'm guessing you only need to soak for 24 hours, rinse, drain, pressure cook the suckers and sit for a few days.

keep posting, i'm probably going to do the same, like to hear how it works out.

eh, i guess yee boils and simmers for a short wee time.

after i soak for 24 hours i simmer the popcorn for 1 hour then pressure cook. This is the (In my opinion) Best sub. I have had no probs or contams since using this method. Just be sure that after the simmer you let the corn strain for 30 minutes min. I wait till the corn is cool to the touch before i PC

Sorry, I have never ran into the situation that you are in. I do not see a prob with the corn being in Strain to long. I would maybee try to soak for another 12 hours, simmer 1 hour, strain till cool(30 minutes min), then PC.

Now this is what I would do. We are all here to experiment. Try different ways and see what happens.
