contamination?

I inoculated this jar about one week ago and was just wondering what this white stuff is. It doesnt look like the rest of the growth. Does it look like some sort of contamination? This is my first time growing. I got a couple syringes of the Tialand Samuri "Super Strain". We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the help.

There are two main kinds of cubie mycelium, rhizos (ropey strands) and cottony (more solid ball of cotton looking). There are also many levels in between those two main kinds, so cubie mycelium could look dozens of different ways. White is generally a good sign. Just watch it and you will learn molds, you will learn theyre look..youll see something looks wrong, it wont look healthy, smell nasty, look different colors. And molds colonize very very quickly.
