tyvek from protective clothing?
    #4262652 - 06/06/05 07:07 AM (11 years, 5 months ago)

hi

i've searched my city for a tyvek source, but the only i could find, is a shop,
which they sell protective clothing in.so they sell a big all-over clotch made from tyvek, and its fairly cheap (like 20dollars):D

do u think i could use that tyvek as a coverage for my jars/casings/growroom?

thanks for any advice!

all the best fellow growers:D

Tyvek is free at our postoffices, I don't know what shipping is like to your part of europe but paying someone to ship you some is a better bargain.

Well thats a different story. I like beyonds idea of having someone send you them. WE can get as much as we want here for free. Seems like it would be a way better money wise.

The clothing works fine for filters. I wear them to do sterile work, then when dirty, I run them through the washing machine. When they get a few holes ripped and/or burned in them, I cut up the fabric for filters. Works great, but not as well as the synthetic filter disks which are much thicker.
