Check out Godspeed You Black Emperor. Songs on average are 15 minutes long, absolutely amazing to listen to with your eyes closed and the volume up high, each song goes through at least 2 or 3 phases of slowly building up to a climax then coming down again.
And when I saw them perform here they put on the most mindblowingly awesome concert I've ever seen.

I like to listen to some String Cheese Incident when I want something feel-good. When I'm in the mood for a funky beat, I always go with Del the Funky Homosapien, usually Deltron 3030(check it out). When I want to trip out deep, I like some trance, Infected Mushroom is good, but I like to listen to the trance channels on iTunes radio. There's always a different DJ spinning something new, and new is good. Also in no particular order: Yonder Mountain String Band Garcia-Grisman John Coltrane - A Love Supreme (Incredible) Aphex Twin Doobie Brothers

If your into the beat of music and some awesome sound effects, listen to midwest product. THey are an experimental electronica band with some awesome stuff.. And then a band called ratatat which is five guys on guitars and one on a synth... they just rock out the jams with no lyrics. THe beats from both really help with the visuals... the room will move with the beats nicely... i really recommend them.,

THANK YOU SO MUCH CARL!!
i have no one has EVER recommended me to listen to a band and for me to actually like it, i usually have to find it on my own! and this is amazing! Ratatat, i just downloaded and desided to check it out, wow, they are exactly the type of music that i love!(i don't think that was written in english!) i still need to listen to the midwest product (i just downloaded that as well) so thank you for such an amazing recommendation!

I am sure zaireeka, if you had the patience and the mental capacity while tripping to put it on, would be fucking amazing!!! also check out The Faint, GMS, Talamasca, the last two of which are really good trance.

Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. Cream the Beatles Blue Cheer and pretty much any other band from the mid to late '60s that make you feel like you belong again.
