What Should I Do With These?
    #4261020 - 06/05/05 09:08 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

I got the following seeds in a trade:

What would you suggest I do with them? I have no experience in these three

Anadenanthera peregrina is also known as yopo, which is used traditionally as a shamanic snuff. The general thought is that it contains DMT, 5-MEO-DMT, and Bufotine, although some dispute this.

It is usually baked until it pops, then crushed, ground up, and combined with snail shells or lime (as in, the edible chemical Calcium Hydroxide). The routine would involve one person loading up a long pipe with the snuff and blowing it into the nostrils of the user. Kinda makes shooting heroin look like swallowing advil, huh?

I have smoked the seeds, although I forgot how I prepped them. There was a "high" of sorts, closed eye visuals of overlapping "jungle vines" (best way to describe them). This method made me wince in pain, and I imagine it would reduce even the most macho person to tears. Very runny nose, and it felt like spikes where in my nasal cavities. Not pleasent. Never repeated the experience, although I would like to try it again sometime when I have more time to dedicate to such heavy stuff.

Mimosa, other than a nice alcoholic drink, is a rootbark which contains DMT. Don't know if the seeds contain anything, but I'm sure it would be fun to grow.

The seeds on the left are poppy seeds. See the giant thread on the first page for more info.

None of these are immediately recreational, but all of them are still wonderful if used right.

The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

I'd grow them all. Save the poppy seeds for next year or the fall.

Grow the mimosa

And separate the cracked broken A peregrina/columbrina (whatever it was, i forgot now), from the whole unbroken seeds. Plant the unbroken seeds and use the others in a snuff as twirling described.
