mushrooms lying down
    #426088 - 10/15/01 06:44 AM (22 years, 1 month ago)

Ello! I'm really enjoying this growing lark and some serious looking mushies are already bursting from my cake. My cake is in a large plastic box with cling film over. Strangely, the mushrooms grow so high then flop over and grow sideways. They also look sort of dried out.

Does this sound familiar to anyone. Whats the score here? Temperture, humidity, contam' etc etc? If anyone has any helpful advice, I'd be glad to hear it.

Besides all this they are great when ingested.

Many thanks

Are the mushrooms being exposed to a light source? They'll grow in all directions without light above them. As far as the mushrooms looking dry, just make sure your moisture level is optimal (around 92%) though if you're getting fruits then you're probably giving them the correct environment. There should be a light layer of condensation on the inside of your grow chamber at this humidity level. It's not uncommon for mushrooms to tip over like this. If it bothers you, then pick them before this happens.

or you can put a little stick beside them and tie them to the stick.. like they do with young trees ;) im just joking but you could try it anyway..

They chopped her goddam head off right there in the parking lot. Then they cut all kinds of holes in her head and sucked the blood out. I think they were after the pineal gland.
