Dark WBS After Pressure Cooking
    #4260715 - 06/05/05 07:30 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

On other threads people say this is normal, but why does this happen?

Sounds like either You're cooking it to hot...or maybe to long?

Or its to dry or to wet...

Not really sure to be honest...just some things you might want to think about.

Well on other threads people have said it is normal and the grain colonizes fine. Your WBS does not do this?

My WBS definitely gets darker after pressure cooking. I personally believe that it's from the moisture content of the seeds. I have yet to mess up my WBS and all I do is soak. Sounds normal to me man.

Sweet. Yeah all I did was the old soak. I hear that's all you need to do if you spawn to poo. Now I just need to go find some. Shouldn't be so hard seeing as I'm in Texas and there are horses everywhere. SINGLE TUB HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soaking the WBS is all you ever need, period. Also, growing on horse manure is the only way to go in my book. After I have been growing for a couple of years I swear I'm going to write the "Complete Idiot's Guide to Cultivating".

You can grow mushrooms with such ease and simplicity that I can't understand how people don't get it.
