To experience a dream; Did I watch TV, or did I dream it?

(this is kinda a re-post)

You sleep in a totally pitch black room.

The previous night you dreamed you sat in your couch, watching Dr. Phill.
The previous day you sat in your couch, watching Oprah.

Now you sit in reality, reading this text.

When you sit in your couch dreaming, watching Dr. Phill.
You are in fact lying asleep in your room, experiencing a dream.

When you sit in your couch awake, watching Oprah.
You are in fact sitting in your couch, experiencing in a state of being actual and true.

When awake, you got various external sources of light in the room where you are watching TV.
When asleep, you got no external sources of light in the room where you are watching TV, other than your dream?

you don't need light to see, you just need nerves.
Images you experience are not composed of light, but of electricity and chemistry.
