First Casings, Opinions Please (Update With Pics!!)

OK sorry about the quality of the pic, but here is one of my casings after 4 days in the incubator (they all pretty much look the same way). The myc looks good and is pretty even through the casing, should I patch?



Update 6-12-05: Well casings are a beautiful thing!!! My first casing attempt was a success :thumbup: It was really easy. I doubt I will ever do cakes again. Had a really nice pinset and everything. Here are some pics I just took:

The only thing I am disappointed with is the size of the shrooms. A lot of them look like they are ready to open and their stems are pretty thin and caps small. Is this normal for Allen strain? The pics I have seen were different. Oh well it doesn't really matter. I should get a nice flush I think :smile: I will update with more pics..........

put it in the fruiting chamber ASAP, i dont personally patch but others might tell u to

Thanks guys, I actually did a little sprinkle of casing over the really white areas. Will probably keep doing that. I never see good pinsets coming out of a sold white casing. There was always some casing mix showing :smile: Don't want no overlay!!!

nice fruits.. My fruits got bigger after the first time casing, but have since gotten very weird.. But good job man, your def doin better than me

Allens are small, but they more then make up for it in other ways...  :crazy:
