My new Cacti
    #4258006 - 06/05/05 01:41 AM (11 years, 6 months ago)

Recently I purchased a few cacti.

This is my aloe vera. I bought it because it was so large compared to most aloe's which I see being sold.

This guy is very large but was put was in such a small pot. I had to re pot him. And since the soil is soft, the weight of the cactus is uprooting him. So I have it tied up until the soil settles and the roots grow stronger.

Does anyone have an idea what it is. I would appreciate an identification on this one and the next two.

Thanks for your help if you have an I D. I just figured I would share the beginning of my collection. Soon I have 1000 Trichocereus Bridgesii seeds arriving.

The second pic should be Myrtillocactus geometrizans

The 3rd pic is quite young and the pic doesn't help a lot.

For the first pic I have to look a book... (currently not possible)
... if somebody else doesn't!

the one you have tied up is an Opuntia species.

the second one looks like a common Cereus, maybe peruvianus.

i don't know about the third.
