permanent damage

k, almost exactly a year ago I went on this binge and did "Blue ringers" for 6 days in a row.... Well actually, I did them two days in a row, skipped a day, then did them four more days in a row. I know, I know, I'm really stupid. Anyway, my vision has been really sketchy ever since. I will feel like I am dreaming out of no where. If I stare at a wall it will start to shift and move a little.
Can I expect it to be like this for the rest of my life? I haven't done any drugs ever since then.... Is there anything I can do to lessen the effect? Thanks.

well. i dont know if you can expect them for the rest of your life but probably.
I, now, always have slight distortions in my perception. expecially when i'm tired. It's not really a problem for me, and its nothing as serious as some of the hppd stories i've heard, but i expect to live the rest of my life with the knowledge and understanding of altered states.

Doesn't everyone experience vision difficulties to a certain effect... a lot of people see dots of colour (static) when in the dark. Tiredness plays a lot to do it. your probably suffering more from severe mental fatigue, causing the vision difficulties. I don't beleive in HPPD as I know people who have static and stuff without having taken a hallucinogen. I think most people just don't notice these things until they've tripped and seen these mild visual distortions magnified 1000 times and then realise they're after the trip. People who have not slept for days will start seeing things moving and a hazy field of vision. I don't think it has any thing to do with brain damage.

Your brain turns the image on your retina into a picture, and there is a large degree of interpretation that goes into it. When you stare at a white wall and are able to see patterns, etc, I think its just your brain trying to see more than just a wall. Ever since I started eating mushrooms I've seen patterns where there were previously none, but i consider it a blessing. I don't think that is HPPD, just a perk. If the walls started changing colors and dripping faces, I'd be concerned. For now, you'll be fine. ANd don't abuse the mushies like that too often

I agree with you ingo, what you are saying I understand more than anything else since sleep deprevations makes you halluncinate. I also start to see dots when I get sleepy which I have never noticed till after I tripped for the first time.
