Wood Substrate Recipies?
    #4253386 - 06/03/05 08:39 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

I'm sure some have developed some interesting recipies for their wood based substrates, for different strains.
Perhaps some of you would care to share your favorites.
How about it guys?

Hi mate,
for now i'm cultivating Pleurotus pulmonarius and i've made several testes..hay, sorghum, bran(wheat), grain wheat etc etc but..

for me nothing grows as well as on bran + perlite(inoculed with spore solution - on the 3rd day at 28-29?C i've seen the first signs of colonization). bran without perlite doesn't grow well..

if you want to enlarge your mycelium you can also mix, after fully colonized bran+perlite, boiled sorghum.

if you want to say more just ask.

have a nice day!!!
