ok, so I have a motorolla cell phone with cingular service. Well it stopped getting service..just plain out no service..everything else works fine...i just can't complete a phone call. The bill is paid on the phone so that isn't the problem..the actual problem lies in the phone itself..I didn't drop it/get it wet..nothing like that. I picked it up to make a call and it just did not work.
Well i went to cingular and they said the warranty is up on it and there is nothing they can do about it except get me to cough up $$$$$$ for a new phone. This doesn't seem right to me since there was no damage to the phone itself but whatever fine..the warranty is up whatever..
Well im going to get a new service (verizon) since my cingular is up soon (16 days) but im going to be stuck here without a phone for over 2 weeks!
.......What im really getting at here...... 1) If I were to buy a new phone (motorolla, samsung..whatever) would it work with cingular and then for verizon when I eventually switch? 2) If i were to somehow acquire an old phone from a friend and put my SIM card in it would it work even if they have say...T mobile or whatever other service?
I feel like im getting the shaft big time, but I dont know what I can do about it? HELLLLP
