Sick of Morning Glories...

No, I'm not sick because I ate them. I'm sick and tired of weeding this damn invasive plant! I've grown morning glories for years, before I even knew they were active, because they are pretty and easy to grow. So I moved into a new house this year and my landlady had let morning glories grow in her garden plot. I got big plans for this garden plot, and frankly they don't include MG. I am growing a couple Star Of Yelta Morning Glories to climb up the decks for shade and color, but I don't need 500 plants smothering my tomatoes and going to seed. So I've been weeding like crazy. Now I laugh when I see MG cultivation in here, cuz I got more MG seedlings than anyone could ever want. Aargh!  :wink: :confused: :grin:
I just wish I had this problem with some Papaver Somniferum. :smile:

Maybe you should dig them up and replant them elsewhere :smile: They are pretty cool plants.

haha. along one of our fences, some non active morning glories come back every single year, 100's of them pretty pretty, but quite annoying because they climb over everything else in its way. good luck getting it out of the ground. it might take some patience.

morning glory is a weed here also, it grows all along road sides and sometimes completely covers mountain areas
